The client journey

Financial planning is an ongoing process, and when it’s done right it can yield excellent results. Here’s an overview of what you can expect from working together.
1.

Initial meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to get to know each other, to understand your needs and objectives and find out if we are the right fit to work together in the future. This meeting should typically last around an hour – the cost of which will be absorbed by us.

2.

Fact-finding

We need to develop a clearer picture of your current situation. To help us do this, we’ll need to see documents, including life assurance, mortgage, pension, savings, investments or bank statements. We’ll also aim to understand your attitude to risk.

3.

Analysis and evaluation

Using the information we receive, we’ll build a detailed financial plan in line with your lifetime goals. We research the market, review different products and providers and prepare a strategy tailored to your individual goals and circumstances.

4.

Presenting our recommendations

We’ll meet again to take you through our recommendations in detail. We will explain why we’ve chosen certain solutions or a particular advice strategy. We’ll also discuss the cost of any future work and explain how you can check on investment performance.

5.

Implementing your plan

Now’s the time to put your plan into action. We’ll take care of all the paperwork and liaise with your accountant or solicitor if necessary. We’ll also send you regular updates on your progress.

6.

Reviewing your plan

It’s important to regularly review your plan to ensure it’s still fit for purpose. We can meet face to face or via video call to discuss your performance and any changes to your circumstances.
